The unpleasant, cold waters of the Black Sea aren't especially welcoming, yet turn your look inland, where lavish green valleys spill down to the coast from high tops, to see the area's allure.
The lower heights are home to the greater part of Turkey's tea and hazelnut creation, while the high levels (yaylalar) like Pokut, which were once utilized as summer pastures for domesticated animals, are becoming well known with travelers searching out picturesque perspectives and a sample of conventional Black Sea culture and food.
Further over, the Kaçkar Mountains offer breathtaking journeying in summer for experienced explorers. Trabzon, home to the bluff side Sumela Monastery, is the region's fundamental center for air travel.
